Actor/Writer Chris Lemmon, son of Hollywood icon Jack Lemmon will present a new one-man-show, "Twist of Lemmon: A Musical Memoir" at 7:00 pm on Friday, October 14 at the Metropolitan Room (34 West 22nd St., NYC).

On the heels of his critically acclaimed novel (Algonquin Books), and the release of his new album "Twist of Lemmon, A Musical Memoir" Chris Lemmon has gone a step further to create a totally new stage experience about his memories of growing up "Hollywood", the son of world-famous actor Jack Lemmon. "Twist" features nine original piano compositions, along with a spoken narrative that will reveal touching and heartfelt stories, as well as laugh out loud anecdotes of his life and times in the world of Hollywood stardom.

Stories will range from running from bears in the Alaskan wilderness, to walking the hallowed fairways at the AT&T Pebble Beach golf tournament with his famous father. He'll deal with what it was like being raised the son of an icon, and share hysterical stories of Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau, and many others. Lemmon brings a bird's-eye view of what it was like to find his way in life with the unique, yet universal, relationship that he shared with the man he called "Pop", while performing original piano compositions he wrote during all those formative years.

Chris Lemmon has starred in over twenty-five feature films, including "JUST THE TICKET", "LENA'S HOLIDAY" and "THAT'S LIFE". He's starred in television series for all major networks, including "KNOT'S LANDING" (CBS), "THUNDER IN PARADISE" (Reisher), "STUDIO 59" (ABC), "Brothers and Sisters" (NBC), and most notably Fox's highly acclaimed network-launching situation comedy "DUET". He graduated California Institute of the Arts with degrees in classical piano and composition, as well as a degree in the theatrical arts, and went on to appear in numerous stage productions, including the west-coast tour of "BAREFOOT IN THE PARK", directed by the late Jerry Paris, the original award winning west coast production of "SHAY" by Anne Commire, and the highly successful "LOVE LETTERS" with Stephanie Zimbalast. He currently resides in New England where he writes and produces feature films and television. His memoir, "A Twist Of Lemmon" was published Father's Day 2006. He recently wrote, produced, and hosted the Sony Documentary "Magic Time", and is currently in post production for his newest documentary "Day By Day", which he wrote, produced, hosted, and wrote the original musical score.
