Fresh from a successful run in Los Angeles, which followed on the heels of his Backstage Bistro Award in New York, comedian and singer Tom D'Angora is bringing his "divinely" delicious stage show, Divas I've Done, to the infamous Studio 54 for Sunday night performances.

D'Angora grew up worshipping the women who created magic on television, stage and screen and has turned this adoration into inspiration with an outrageously funny, loving and entertaining evening dedicated to such irrefutable icons as Nancy Kerrigan, Princess Diana, Liza Minnelli, Fran Drescher, Ellen Greene, and The Golden Girls!

Backstage West called Divas I've Done, "…a zany cabaret show driven by his captivatingly warm sense of humor and his ability to hold a capacity audience in the palm of his hand…", while Playbill described the show as "…Just Jack…only ten times funnier".

Highlights of Divas I've Done include: an energetic opening which owes its origins to The Village People's "YMCA;" a brilliant parody of "Somewhere That's Green" from Little Shop of Horrors which Playbill awarded an honorable mention as "vocal event of 2003;" and a take on "Maybe" from the musical Annie which has D'Angora waxing philosophical about his chance of being adopted by Angela Channing (Jane Wyman), the tyrannical matriarch of "Falcon Crest." Add in a heartfelt but unwittingly hysterical number from Princess Diana: The Musical and you have the eclectic mix of D'Angora's passions.

In his native Massachusetts, D'Angora grew up gay and very overweight. He turned to the only thing a chubby gay boy could find comfort in…living vicariously through the exciting women in show business! With the help of his fabulous divas and a heavy addiction to ABC soaps, D'Angora's childhood flew by.

At age seventeen, Tom lost one hundred pounds and decided to give acting a try. In the past seven years, Tom has appeared in everything from community, regional, stock, cabarets, benefits, and tours. Divas I've Done is his first solo show.

Divas I've Done is directed by Michael Duling and is accompanied by Tracy Stark on piano. The show also features back-up singers Kate Pazakis, Christine Gonzales, Noel Cody, and Cara LaGreen.

Each week Tom will invite a special guest diva to perform at the end of the show. In the past Tom has had the privilege of sharing the Divas I've Done stage with Tony nominee Marla Schaffel doing a stirring rendition of the duet "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" and Ellen Greene recreating her trademark "Somewhere That's Green". Scheduled to appear thus far are:

Sunday, March 13th: Marla Schaffel; Tony nominee and Drama Desk winner for Jane Eyre the musical.
Sunday, March 20th: Maya Days; star of Aida, Rent, and Jesus Christ Superstar celebrating Palm Sunday with "I Don't Know How To Love Him"
Sunday, March 27th: Kristy Cates; understudy for Elphaba in Wicked performing "Defying Gravity"
Sunday, April 3rd: Christine Pedi; Forbidden Broadway legend

Divas I've Done will play Sunday nights at 7:30 PM upstairs at the legendary Studio 54 located at 254 West 54th St. Tickets can be purchased for $40 through Ticketmaster at 212-307-4100 or at Ticketmaster.com. Performances begin March 13th with an official opening on March 20th.

Tom D'Angora's debut CD, The Pink Album, will be available at www.tomdangora.com and at Studio 54 as of March 20th.
