Tim Realbuto and Jenna Leigh Green Kick Off WUNDERKIND Songwriting Competition; Deadline 10/3

Tim Realbuto and Jenna Leigh Green have announced the next leg of submissions for their Wunderkind songwriting competition. Writers are encouraged to submit original material to be performed at each stop on Realbuto's Wunderkind tour. The next performance is on Monday, October 13th at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. The winner of the last contest was Andrew J. Hanley (pictured here with Green and Realbuto), whose song 'Love Me' was performed at Realbuto's Triad show on September 1st.

Realbuto released the following statement: "Calling all up-and-coming songwriters! As a writer myself, I know the importance of having your work performed live. Do you have any songs collecting dust in an old trunk somewhere? Do you want to test out a new song? Do you want to hear your song sung by a former Elphaba? Send me your songs and I will pick one to sing at each stop on my Wunderkind tour along with Wicked star Jenna Leigh Green."

Green, who also starred as Libby Chessler on the hit television series Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, is one of Realbuto's many guest stars on October 13th. The Beechman performance will also feature Derek Klena (Dogfight; The Bridges of Madison County), current Pippin star Ariana DeBose (Motown; Bring It On), Laurissa Romain (South Pacific; "Are We There Yet?"), and Kimberly Faye Greenberg (Danny and Sylvia; One Night With Fanny Brice). The ensemble will feature David Colston Corris (Avenue Q), Julie D'Moure (C'est la Vie), Chris Jehnert (Hairspray), newcomer Thomas Ian Johnson, Justin Anthony Long ("City of Dreams"), and Allison St. Rock (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson). Several more guest stars will be announced in the coming weeks.

To enter the Tim Realbuto/Jenna Leigh Green songwriting competition, please send your material to Tim's assistant Mallory Schaus at Mallory.RealbutoAssistant@gmail.com. Songs must be a male/female duet, three minutes maximum in length and your material must include the sheet music as well as a vocal demo. Copy written songs are preferred. Please send non-copywritten material at your own risk. The contest deadline is Friday, October 3rd at noon. Winners will receive two free tickets to the October 13th performance of Wunderkind at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, as well as the opportunity to hear their song performed live in concert by Tim Realbuto and Jenna Leigh Green. Winners will also get a backstage meet and greet and photo op with Jenna and Tim after the performance.
