Tickets Now On Sale For THE WIZARD OF OZ US Tour

The most beloved family film of all time, THE WIZARD OF OZ, makes its way to the stage in a spectacular new edition outfitted with new songs by legendary composing team Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice and North America will finally have its chance to view the extravaganza as it embarks on a new US tour following West End and Canadian mountings.

Starring many cast members from the recent Toronto production and subsequent Canadian tour resulting from the reality casting competition program OVER THE RAINBOW, the new WIZARD OF OZ tour originally began as a West End spectacular on the stage of the London Palladium in 2010, directed by Jeremy Sams, also kicking off with a reality competition, featuring Lloyd Webber himself as a judge.

The official synopsis for the new US tour of THE WIZARD OF OZ is as follows: "The North American tour will feature many of the same talented cast who are currently starring in the Toronto production including Danielle Wade as Dorothy, who was chosen by the Canadian public through CBC TV's 'Over The Rainbow', Mike Jackson as the Tin Man, Lee MacDougall as the Lion, Jamie McKnight as the Scarecrow and Robin Evan Willis as Glinda.

Click your heels together and join Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Dorothy and her little dog Toto, as they journey through the magical land of Oz to meet the Wizard and obtain their hearts' desires. Watch out for the Wicked Witch of the West and her winged monkeys as you rediscover the real story of Oz in this fantastic musical treat for all the family."

The new US tour of THE WIZARD OF OZ begins on September 10 in Las Vegas with dates in San Francisco, Seattle, Houston, St. Louis, Philadelphia and many more, running through June 8.
