The run of the Roundabout Theatre Company's acclaimed production of The Pajama Game is basically sold out, but a commercial transfer in the early fall will allow more audiences to catch the show--which will feature a new cast.

Produced by Jeffrey Richards, James Fuld Jr. and Scott Landis, the transfer will take the hit revival to another, as yet unannounced, Broadway house after a summer hiatus.  Specific dates and casting have also not yet been announced.

The Pajama Game, which stars Harry Connick Jr. as Sid and Kelli O'Hara as Babe, is both a critical and commercial hit. The show is playing a limited run through June 11th, but audiences can pay between between $250 and $2,500 to catch five added benefit performances from June 13th through 17th. Funds from those performances will benefit
The Actors' Fund of America, the New Orleans Habitat Musician's Village, and the Roundabout's Education Program and Musical Theatre Fund.

The Pajama Game, which opened on February 23rd after previews beginning January 19th, also features Michael McKean as Hines, Megan Lawrence as Gladys, Joyce Chittick as Mae, Peter Benson as Prez, Michael McCormick as Pop and Ganzenlicher, Richard Poe, and Roz Ryan as Mabel.

The Roundabout Theatre Company is producing the show with Richards, Landis and Fuld. Kathleen Marshall (Two Gentlemen of Verona, Wonderful Town, Kiss Me, Kate) is the director and choreographer.

The Pajama Game features two new songs in its classic Richard Adler-Jerry Ross score, and the original book by George Abbott and Richard Bissell was revised by Peter Ackerman. The Pajama Game is set during union disputes at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory, and centers around a love story between two people representing opposing sides of the dispute.
The Pajama Game originally opened at the St. James Theatre on May 13th, 1954 to run for 1,063 performances; the show won Tonys for Best Musical, for Bob Fosse's choreography and for Carol Haney as Best Featured Actress in a Musical.

The current production has also been racking up awards nominations; it earned seven Drama Desk, eight Outer Critics Circle and three Drama League nods. A cast recording, released by Columbia Records, will hit stores on May 9th.
