The Actors' Fund of America is proud to present yet another of its highly anticipated S.T.A.G.E. too tributes, this year entitled THE BEST IS YET TO COME: THE MUSIC OF Cy Coleman. The Nedda Harrigan Logan Award will be presented to Mr. Coleman by Actors' Fund President, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Larry Gelbart (Coleman collaborator on the TONY award winning "City of Angeles")and Marilyn and Alan Bergman (Coleman collaborators on "Like Jazz"). Cy Coleman, one of the most prolific songwriters of our time, offers us a legacy of songs that will make this evening something very unique and special. In addition to his Broadway shows: BARNUM, WILL ROGERS FOLLIES, I LOVE MY WIFE, SEESAW, THE LIFE, LITTLE ME, WILDCAT, ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY, CITY OF ANGELS and SWEET CHARITY, Mr. Coleman has written a vast array of jazz and pop tunes including THE BEST IS YET TO COME and WITCHCRAFT.
As a special tribute to our incredible cast scheduled to appear, Mr. Coleman himself, who will be on hand to accept the Nedda Harrigan Logan Award, will perform as well. Promising to be just as memorable and exciting as the successful predecessors, the show will be directed and staged by David Galligan. Musical direction will be by Ben Lanzarone with David Michaels serving as executive producer. In addition, a special $500 ticket is being offered which includes priority seating, the cast party and a special 5-course gourmet pre-show dinner adjacent to the theatre.
