A rare big screen showing of the cult Elizabeth Taylor/Richard Burton film collaboration with Tennessee Williams, BOOM!, based on the celebrated playwright's 1963 play THE MILK TRAIN DOESN'T STOP HERE ANYMORE, will be presented at the Brooklyn Academy Of Music next month according to a new listing.

Yes, you read that right - BOOM! will be at BAM!

A 35mm print of the outrageous and unusual drama - and infamous box office failure - will be available to view at the Peter J Sharp Building at 8 PM on October 3.

BOOM! was originally released in 1968 and stars Taylor and Burton as well as theatrical icon Noel Coward. It was directed by Joseph Losey, featuring a screenplay by Williams himself and the film reportedly was cited by the author as his favorite cinematic adaptation of any of his lauded works.

Of note, a recent Broadway revival of THE MILK TRAIN DOESN'T STOP HERE ANYMORE starred Olympia Dukakis in 2011.
