TIME STANDS STILL, the acclaimed play by Donald Margulies (Collected Stories), must end its twice extended engagement at Manhattan Theatre Club's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street) Saturday, March 27 following the 8 PM performance. On that date, the production will have played 27 preview performances and 68 regular performances.

The productions features acclaimed actor and playwright Eric Bogosian (Talk Radio, "Law & Order: CI"), Tony Award nominee Brian d'Arcy James (Shrek, Off-Broadway's Next to Normal), Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Laura Linney ("John Adams," Sight Unseen on Broadway), and Golden Globe Award nominee Alicia Silverstone (Clueless, "Miss Match").

Sarah and James, a photographer and a journalist (Laura Linney and Brian d'Arcy James), have been together for years and share a passion for documenting the realities of war. But when circumstances compel them to return home to New York and their circle of friends (Eric Bogosian and Alicia Silverstone) the adventurous couple confronts the prospect of a more conventional life.

The creative team for TIME STANDS STILL includes John Lee Beatty (scenic design), Rita Ryack (costume design), Peter Kaczorowski (lighting design), Darron L West (sound design), Peter Golub (original music), and Thomas Schall (fight direction).

The production began previews Tuesday, January 5 and opened Thursday, January 28 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Due to popular demand, the production was extended twice and must close Saturday, March 27.

The next MTC production at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre will be the Broadway premiere of Margulies' COLLECTED STORIES, directed by Lynne Meadow, starring Tony Award winner Linda Lavin and Golden Globe nominee Sarah Paulson. The limited engagement of COLLECTED STORIES will start previews Friday, April 9 and open Wednesday, April 28.
