TICK, TICK... BOOM! Will Come to Diversionary Theatre in September
Matt Tierney stars in the Jonathan Larson musical from the New York-based company Niche Media Productions.
Niche Media Productions is producing Tick, Tick... BOOM! at the Diversionary Theatre for twenty performances across September 10-27th. The cast includes Maddy Le, Timmy Marston, Kay Saltonstall, and Matt Tierney.
Niche Media was founded when Tierney was performing in San Diego on tour as Blanche Deveraux in The Golden Girls, ironically also at the Diversionary.
NMP is a New York City company that focuses on joy and irreverence in all performances. This time, we're trading the heels and corset for tennis shoes to watch Jon run out of time.
SYNOPSIS
Before Rent, there was Tick, Tick… BOOM!, the autobiographical musical by Jonathan Larson, the Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning composer of Rent.
Set in 1990, Tick, Tick… BOOM! is a eureka moment sandwiched between rock music and whimsy, telling the story of a writer's sacrifices made to achieve his big break in theatre. With three actors playing ten characters, Tick, Tick… BOOM! takes you on the journey that led to a Broadway blockbuster.
