On her 6th nomination, Kelli O'Hara has won the 2015 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for her role as Anna in THE KING AND I!

Her previous nominations were for South Pacific, The Light in the Piazza, The Bridges of Madison County, Nice Work If You Can Get It and The Pajama Game.

O'Hara's other LCT credits include South Pacific (Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle nominations), The Light in the Piazza (Tony, OCC noms.).

On Broadway she has appeared in The Bridges of Madison County (Tony, DD, Drama League, OCC noms.), Nice Work If You Can Get It (Tony, DD, DL, OCC, Fred Astaire Award noms.), The Pajama Game (Tony, DD, OCC noms.), Sweet Smell of Success, Follies, Dracula, Jekyll & Hyde.

Metropolitan Opera credits includeThe Merry Widow.Off-Broadway/concerts: My Fair Lady, Carousel (Avery Fisher Hall/NY Philharmonic); Far From Heaven, My Life With Albertine (Playwrights Horizons);King Lear (Public); Bells Are Ringing (Encores!).

Film work includes Sex and the City 2, Scorsese'sThe Key to Reserva. On TV she recently starred in NBC's "Peter Pan Live!," and has made guest appearances in "Blue Bloods," "Numb3rs," and "The Kennedy Center Honors."

Solo albums include Always, Wonder in the World(Ghostlight Records).

Lincoln Center Theater's The King and I, which features a cast led by Kelli O'Hara (as Anna Leonowens) and Ken Watanabe (as the King of Siam), is directed by Bartlett Sher, officially opened on April 16 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street).

Ruthie Ann Miles (as Lady Thiang), Ashley Park (as Tuptim), Conrad Ricamora (as Lun Tha),Edward Baker-Duly (as Sir Edward Ramsey),Jon Viktor Corpuz (as Prince Chulalongkorn), Murphy Guyer (as Captain Orton), Jake Lucas(as Louis), Paul Nakauchi (as Kralahome), and Marc Oka (as Phra Alack) co-star.

One of Rodgers & Hammerstein's finest works, The King and I boasts a score which features such beloved classics as Getting To Know You, Hello Young Lovers, Shall We Dance, I Have Dreamed, and Something Wonderful. Set in 1860's Bangkok, the musical tells the story of the unconventional and tempestuous relationship that develops between the King of Siam and Anna Leonowens, a British schoolteacher, whom the imperious King brings to Siam to tutor his many wives and children.
