Multidisciplinary performance group Live Source presents the world premiere of THE INCREDIBLE FOX SISTERS, a new play by Jaclyn Backhaus (Men on Boats). Directed by Tyler Mercer, THE INCREDIBLE FOX SISTERS begins performances on Friday, October 30, 2015 - prior to an official press opening of November 1st - at The New Ohio Theater (154 Christopher Street). Performances continue through Sunday, November 8th. Tickets are priced at $20 ($15 for students and seniors) and will be available online at www.newohiotheatre.org beginning September 28th. The production returns to the New Ohio for its world premiere following a hit, sold-out workshop production during the theater's 2014 Ice Factory Festival.

THE INCREDIBLE FOX SISTERS is based on the true story of Maggie and Kate Fox, two girls from Hydesville, New York who in the 1800s became international celebrities by convincing the world they were communicating with spirits of the dead. Through a darkly comedic coming-of-age story, Backhaus' script tracks the girls' rapid rise to (and fall from) fame.

The cast of THE INCREDIBLE FOX SISTERS features Katrina Day, Phoebe Dunn, Stephen Elrod, Shannon Haddock, Andrew Hamling, Kate Owens, Anthony Ritosa, and Hannah Vaughn.

The production and design team for THE INCREDIBLE FOX SISTERS is: Jonathan Cottle (Set Designer) with Kelsey Jeffries (Associate Set Designer), Michelle Persoff (Costume Designer), Marika Kent (Lighting Designer), Beth Lake (Sound Designer), Kate Freer (Video Designer), Quinlan Orear (Film Cinematography), Jessica Kidwell (Stage Manager), and Joshua Shain (Production Manager).

Jaclyn Backhaus (Playwright) is a playwright and performer originally from Phoenix, Arizona. The Incredible Fox Sisters is her first play with Live Source. Other recent credits: the Bull's Hollow Trilogy, You On The Moors Now, and Set in the Living Room of a Small Town American Play. Recipient of commissions from Playwrights Horizons and Ars Nova. Jaclyn is a Creative Director of Fresh Ground Pepper, the Founding Resident Playwright for TRE, a member of the 2014-2015 Civilians R&D Group, and a Clubbed Thumb Falcon. BFA, NYU.
