Thai Next 2026: When the Seeds Bloom, presented by the Royal Thai Consulate General in New York and Thai Theatre Foundation, has announced its lineup of 46 Thai and Thai-affiliated artists and their collaborators across performance, music, visual art, photography, fashion, and film.

The event will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at The Foundry LIC in Long Island City. The daytime program will run from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and will be free and open to the public, followed by an Evening Reception and Closing Ceremony from 6:30 to 8:30 PM for invited guests. The event is expected to welcome approximately 800 visitors, marking one of the largest Thai art fairs in New York City.

"Thai Next 2026 is about seeing Thai artists in motion across disciplines, communities, and forms," said Keng S. Meateanuwat, Executive Director of Thai Theatre Foundation. "This lineup brings together artists shaping contemporary Thai art in New York today."

Featured Artists and Performances

Thai Next 2026 will feature a full day of live performances by artists including Andrew Cristi, Panit Nice Chantranuluck, Jazz Sunpanich, Lalit Sritara, Ko Tanaka, Yen-Nien Hsu, Papat Lertchanvit, Patima Watcharintrawut, Eli Weary, Chan Wannapat, IS GO DAY DAY, and DJ PEPPER (Pew Wilailert).

Program highlights include กับข้าว (With Rice), a new musical work by Tidtaya Sinutoke, directed by Keng S. Meateanuwat, with music direction by Papat Lertchanvit, featuring Chan Wannapat, Kuppi Jessop, and Sy Chounchaisit.

The program also features THAI AF!, a collaborative performance by Nicole Asava, Ryan Chittaphong, and Risa Harms, alongside a range of live music and interdisciplinary works throughout the day.

In addition to live performances, the event will include visual art, fashion, and interdisciplinary work by a range of participating artists, including Apiwich, Archer Wong, Kamonchanok Phon-ngam, Keerati Jinakunwiphath, Kullachart, Lux Lalipas Chatcharuchinwong, MONSIEUR POPPI, N012MAL, Nihal Singh, Nutthawut Siridejchai, Pacha Chantri, Pancharee Sangkaeo, Patsam, Patti Panyakaew, Plu "Pattaya Hart" Sayampol, Pratya Jankong, Phapfun W, Proud Chanyanuch Aiemruksa, PYLYNN, Riw Rakkulchon, Sai Somboon, SARALEE, Sarasin Chatwichitkoon, Tawan Wattaya, Thisisbaoface, Wish Thanasarakhan, and Zac Peeradon.

Program Highlights

The program spans multiple disciplines and formats throughout the venue, including:

  • Live performances on a central stage featuring music, vocals, piano, and DJ sets

  • Visual art and photography exhibitions presented throughout the space

  • Film and moving image works by Thai and Thai-affiliated filmmakers

  • Community-centered activations inviting audience participation

In addition, over 30 vendors will offer Thai food, fashion, and artisan goods, creating a full-day experience of contemporary Thai culture.
