As someone who is pretty much a workaholic, burnout can be sort of a weird thing to deal with in a way. Even when I know I should take a break, I want to do my job and as well as I possibly can. I am working on this, and this semester has taught me that even if I am able to do all three shows in a semester doesn't mean I should. Finding ways that help me deal with potential burnout is something I am still learning about.

Burnout can be the result of stress and over working yourself from academics, your job, personal life, etc. There are many ways to help deal with burnout, such as having a hobby like crocheting, drawing, writing, hiking, biking, etc. Finding a hobby is something that I do need to focus more on to be able to relax and take to time to recharge.

Another couple, and very important ways to combat burnout out is to try to get enough sleep and to try exercise (even by just taking a walk). Finding ways to combat burnout can be difficult, but it is worth taking some time to do so, which I am also learning how to do. These are ways that I really try to implement (sometimes it is difficult in college with a crazy schedule).I like to take walks around campus (when I can) and I try to get as much sleep as I am able to as a college student. There are many more effective ways that you can try to combat burnout.

So, take a break. Even if its a short break, take the time to relax. Enjoy. I know I will be trying to relax and step back from working on a show while on break.
