Start Date for Jaime Camil in Latinologues Shifts to December 6

In order to complete his filming schedule on his new movie "I Love Miami," Jaime Camil will now join the cast of LATINOLOGUES on Broadway on Tuesday, December 6 instead of the previously announced start date of November 25. "I Love Miami," starring Jaime Camil, will be released in April 2006.

Jaime Camil is the star of numerous other films including "7 Dias" and "Zapata," for which he was nominated for Best Actor at the 2005 MTV Movie Awards. He starred in this season's Broadway bound musical "The Mambo Kings," but he is thrilled to be making his Broadway debut in LATINOLOGUES instead. Last year, he won the Mexican equivalent of the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his performance as Bernardo in "West Side Story." As the leading man in soap operas like "Mi Destino Eres Tu" and "Mujer de Madera," Jaime has seen by over 400 million viewers worldwide. He is a best-selling recording artist as well with two Platinum albums, "Para Estar Contigo" and "Una Vez Mas."

Cheech Marin directs the Broadway production of LATINOLOGUES, a collection of comedic and poignant monologues, performed in English, revealing the Latino experience in America. LATINOLOGUES was created and written by Rick Najera and the show stars Najera, Eugenio Derbez, Rene Lavan, and Shirley A. Rumierk, taking on everything from beauty pageants to immigration, shattering Latino stereotypes with hilarious results. LATINOLOGUES has played in most major cities across the country over the past eight years.

The limited Broadway engagement of LATINOLOGUES was recently extended though December 31 at the Helen Hayes Theatre (240 West 44th Street). The playing schedule is Tuesday through Friday evenings at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 5 and 9 p.m., and Sundays at 3 and 7 p.m. Ticket prices are $40 and $60 with a $20 rush ticket for the first two rows of the orchestra available on the day of performance.
