Speak Your Truth to Present THE PATH

By:

Speak Your Truth has announced an evening of art with a taste of serenity. The Path is a group show featuring the art of Christina Thomas, Meghan McDonough, Victoria Krikorian and Phoebe Foley. All art work will be sold for a $500 and under. For more information, go to: http://speakyourtruthinfo.wordpress.com.

The Path is a visual narrative of four women accompanied by the auditory art of Shye Sales, author and poet, James Tristan Redding on acoustic guitar. This exhibit explores beauty in the ordinary as depicted through Phoebe's prints. Meghan's journey is introspective and spiritual which spills forth onto the canvas. Victoria explores her path on paper and uses light and dark as her medium. She also verbalizes this journey in her spoken word pieces. Christina offers the viewer silence as a way to her path in her meditative window series. Shye Sales author of Salutations to the Dawn; writes to the pain of the path. This group show brings together the visual, the spoken and the musical to create a single feeling. We are all on a path and we are not alone. The art consists of photography, painting and mixed media pieces. The cohesion in the art can be found in the beauty of the journey each artist is expressing. James' path can be heard in his music because of his musical influences, and the unique sound that he has developed over time.

The event will take place at Earth Wellness Cafe, 397 Graham Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211 on Friday, December 5, 2014. It will run from 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Admission for the art exhibit from 7:30 to 9 PM is free. The performance is from 9 PM to 11 PM and admission for is $10 (cash only).

Speak Your Truth was created on the founding principle that art can heal. The complimentary pairing of Christina Thomas's creativity and Nieta Greene's business savvy proved for a union of mind and soul.
