Sofa Snark’s video blog is back just in time for the launch of prime-time’s Fall lineup. The CW kicked things off Tuesday night with two juicy teen dramas. First up was the second season of 90210. With a new show runner attached to the program, 90210 has a glossy new look complete with sexed up antics and plenty of beach bunnies.

Adding to the 90s nostalgia was the series premiere of Melrose Place. The address is the same but the cast is mostly new, except for Sydney Andrews (Laura Leighton) and Michael Mancini (Thomas Calabro). The new cast includes Michael Rady, Stephanie Jacobsen and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz.

Rounding out the second season premiere of Sofa Snark is a tribute to Daily Variety’s longtime entertainment columnist, Army Archerd who died this week at the age of 87. Archerd had spent 52 years writing for the trade publication.
