The League of Improv today has revealed a a Summer season of bright, sharp, and ridiculously funny comedy, with three shows, each featuring a high profile stand-up star as Special Guest.  Cementing their residency at The Phoenix Arts Club, the season kicks off on 13 May with Sindhu Vee, celebrated for her live shows (Soho Theatre and national tour), her TV appearances (Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week) and her roles in feature films (Matilda The Musical, My Mother's Wedding),  Hot on her heels on 10 June comes the incredibly talented actor and comedian from the Black Country and one of the amazing and thrilling cast members of SNL UK, George Fouracres.  And, rounding off the season on 8 July is the comedy legend - Marcus Brigstocke.

Over the past three years, The League of Improv has built a reputation for fast paced improvised comedy with their monthly shows that feature a different Star Guest each time.  Joining the ranks of top class acts such as Lou Sanders, Jake Lambert, Harriet Kemsley, Brennan Reece, Angelos Epithemiou (aka Dan Skinner), Reuben Kay, Shappy Khorsandi,  Nabil Abdulrashid, and Morgan Rees (to name but a few), Sindhu, George and Marcus will be the latest to be welcomed to the stage by the troupe's founder Damian Arnold and his quick-witted team of top comedy talent from the London and Chicago improv world.

The evening begins with a one word suggestion from the audience.   This suggestion kicks off playful and hilarious interaction between the star guest and audience members which will provide story and character ideas for the improvisers who will then create scenes that shall only exist on the night and never be seen again.  This is a truly unique comedy experience that is heightened by team work and produces unforgettable laughs each and every show.  These laughs are delivered at pace, with a 100% guarantee that no two shows will ever be the same.

Damian Arnold says, “We can't wait to get onstage for these next three shows and bring lots of fun and laughs to audiences alongside these three brilliant guests.  I'm honoured, along with the rest of the cast, to welcome these three great comedy talents to the show, and we're just as excited as audiences will be - this is a real thrill for all of us and it's one of the best parts of doing the show - meeting these hilarious Guest Stars.  We get to say hi to these amazing performers,  then jump onstage with them and quickly work as a team to create a really fun atmosphere and show for everyone in the room.  All of us in The League of Improv cast only really face one challenge with these upcoming shows; how on earth to keep a straight face whilst improvising scenes and characters with these absurdly funny people.  We can't wait.
