Michael John LaChiusa's new musical See What I Wanna See, due to a high demand for tickets, is extending its run for two weeks at the Public Theater through December 4th. The show, which began previews on October 11th, will open on October 30th.

Starring Tony Award-winner Idina Menzel, Marc Kudisch, Mary Testa, Aaron Lohr and Henry Stram, See What I Wanna See is based on three Ryunosuke Akutagawa pieces ("In the Grove," "The Dragon" and "Kesa and Morito") from Rashomon and Other Stories. They inspired the famous Kurasawa film, which used a narrative division in point of view as its characters recall the circumstances of a murder; LaChiusa's musical will do the same. See What I Wanna See was workshopped in 2004 at the Williamstown Theatre Festival with Audra McDonald.

See What I Wanna See plays the Anspacher Theater space. For more information, visit http://www.joespub.com/season.cfm.
