Kelli Sawyer and Robert McClure will join the cast of the Tony Award-winning musical Avenue Q on October 30th.

Sawyer's stint in the show will be temporary.  The actress, who was previously seen in Avenue Q in Las Vegas, is stepping in for Mary Faber as Kate Monster and Lucy the Slut. Faber will be busy with the Playwrights Horizons musical Floyd and Clea Under the Western Sky, and will return on December 19th.

McClure will replace Rick Lyon in the roles of Nicky and Trekkie Monster, both of which the latter actor originated on Broadway.

In addition to playing Kate Monster and Lucy the Slut in Las Vegas, Sawyer has appeared Off-Broadway in Summer of '42, as well as toured in South Pacific.  McClure was seen on Broadway in I'm Not Rappaport, and regionally, in shows such as Grease, Parade and Carousel.

Avenue Q also stars Jennifer Barnhart as Mrs. T and others, Howie Michael Smith as Princeton/Rod, Evan Harrington as Brian, Ann Sanders as Christmas Eve and Haneefah Wood as Gary Coleman.  The 2004 Tony Award-winner for Best Musical, Avenue Q features a Tony-winning score by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx and a Tony-winning book by Jeff Whitty.  Jason Moore directs the tale of people, puppets and purpose.  The show is also a hit at London's Noel Coward Theatre.
