Preview Of The Arts And Literature To Life presents FAHRENHEIT 451

Wednesday, February 23 at 7:00 PM; $20 Preview of the Arts and Literature to Life presents Fahrenheit 451 from the novel by Ray Bradbury adapted and directed by Wynn Handman performed by Rich Orlow.

This classic American novel presents a frightening vision of the future: firemen don't put out fires - they start them in order to burn books.

The event features sixty minutes of performance spanning the full breadth of this beloved American Science Fiction novel.  A master of character work, the actor Rich Orlow tells the story from the perspective of the protagonist, Montag, and seamlessly transitions between the five other primary characters.  The adaptation by Wynn Handman of Bradbury's classic novel presents a haunting look at the dangers of censorship in a modern world.  In addition we will show a rare interview with author Ray Bradbury and executive director David Kenner.

A Literature to Life award winner, Fahrenheit 451 was adapted for the stage in 2008 and helped to launch the company's national campaign to Keep Literature (A)live: Project 451 featuring Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin and others.  To learn more go to www.literaturetolife.org/451
