Tony Award-winning Broadway and West End icon Lea Salonga takes on a modern musical theatre classic in the form of a sparkling ballad from Jason Robert Brown's acclaimed cult musical THE LAST FIVE YEARS in a new live performance clip just released.

"Covered with scars I did nothing to earn, / Maybe there's somewhere a lesson to learn," sings unsuccessful actress Cathy of her increasingly troubled relationship, now ending, with writer Jamie in the richly-plotted song.

Salonga infuses the passionate romantic plea with her customary commitment to dramatic truth while also imbuing it with her trademark sterling vocal instrument all the while.

Also of note in regards to this superbly timed song selection by Salonga is the fact that THE LAST FIVE YEARS is currently being translated to the silver screen byway of writer/director Richard LaGravenese in a new feature film adaptation starring Jeremy Jordan and Anna Kendrick, shooting in NYC right now and planned for release next year.

For more information and regular updates on Salonga, currently a judge on THE VOICE in the Phillipines as well as continually participating in frequent concert appearances, follow her on Twitter here.
