Our Time Theatre Company, an artistic home for young people who stutter, will present its One-Act Play Program, where three senior members of the teen company, write and direct their own one-act plays to be performed by professional actors. The plays will be presented from Friday, December 15-Sunday, December 17 at Theatre 3 (311 W 43rd; 3rd Floor). There will be a Q&A with the teen writers/directors following each performance.

"Now in its third year, Our Time's one-act program puts its teens at the center of the production as writer and director. The selected teens get the opportunity to express their points of views through their plays and to communicate their vision by directing their work with a cast of professional performers. The original teen plays explore the universal and timely themes of growing up, politics, magic, friendship, acceptance, trust, and love," according to press materials.

The Perfect Place is written & directed by 16 year-old Brooklyn native Keith Russell. It will be performed by Paul Rudd ("Friends," 40 Year Old Virgin, Anchorman, Three Days of Rain), Alysia Reiner (Sideways), Taro Alexander (Our Time Artistic Director, Stomp, "Law & Order," Lost In Yonkers), Donny Sethi (Our Time teen member), and Edward Mawere (Our Time teen member). "The Perfect Place is the moving and triumphant story of a teenager who stutters (Rudd) finally sticking up for himself after years of getting picked on. He imagines a perfect place where he and his best friend (Reiner) can live in peace without all the violence and negativity of our current world."

2 Train is written and directed by 16 year-old Manhattan native Jonathan Greig. It will be performed by Richard Kind ("Spin City," The Producers), Ned Eisenberg (Wake Up and Sing, World Trade Center), Sandy Chaplin (Spin City), and Everett Bradley (Stomp, Swing, Our Time Musical Director). 2 Train "is the dramatic and tension filled story of The Mayor of New York (Kind) riding the 2 train during morning rush hour and things not going as they should."

A Sister's Hope is written and directed by 17 year-old Queens native Fern Schlesinger. It will be performed by Emily Whyte, Chelsea Lacatena (Our Time's Associate Artistic Director), Noah Cornman (Sh-K-Boom Records), and David Nachman (Our Time alum). A Sister's Hope is "the sweet and magical story of a teenage girl believing in hope and magic to save her dying brother."
