The Manhattan Theatre Club and Second Stage co-production of Craig Lucas' RECKLESS will begin performances tomorrow, September 23 in preparation to open on Thursday, October 14 at the Biltmore Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

The cast will feature Olga Merediz, Debra Monk, Michael O'Keefe, Mary-Louise Parker, Rosie Perez, Thomas Sadoski, and Jeremy Shamos. The production is directed by Mark Brokaw.

RECKLESS is co-produced by Manhattan Theatre Club and Second Stage Theatre, two of New York's premiere non-profit theater producing organizations. RECKLESS is the first production of MTC's 2004-2005 season at the Biltmore Theatre, and the final show of the 2003-2004 season for Second Stage subscribers.

RECKLESS premiered in 1983 and was later revised and produced by Circle Rep in 1988. It's Christmas Eve, Rachel's (Mary-Louise Parker) son has "fired" her, her husband's put out a contract on her life, and so she's out the window – literally. This bittersweet comedy follows Rachel through a bizarre, fantastic, and sometimes nightmarish journey as she travels across the country, finding "home" with a succession of intimate strangers.
