RACE, "the topical detective story" (New York Times) that "sizzles with energy" (The Wall Street Journal), written and directed by David Mamet will end its extended run on Broadway at the Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th St.) on Saturday, August 21st at 8:00 pm.

RACE will have played a total of 320 performances, making it the longest running play of the 2009-2010 season.

RACE will "sprint" through the country in 2011, with productions in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Milwaukee, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. There are also plans for a production of the play in London.

RACE currently stars Eddie Izzard, Dennis Haysbert, Afton C. Williamson and Richard Thomas.

Tickets to the show can be purchased by visiting Telecharge.com or calling 212-239-6200. The show schedule is as follows: Monday at 8pm, Tuesday at 7pm,
Wednesday at 2pm & 8pm, Thursday at 8pm, Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm & 8pm.

RACE made its world premiere beginning performances on Monday, November 16, 2009 and officially opened on Sunday, December 6, 2009.

RACE features design by Santo Loquasto (set), Brian MacDevitt (lighting) and Tom Broecker (costumes).
