The Play Company presents a special evening with Board Member Susan Stroman and a benefit performance of Broadway's Young Frankenstein on Tuesday, October 23.

Play Company Board Member Susan Stroman directs and choreographs the new Mel Brooks musical Young Frankenstein, music/lyrics by Mel Brooks, book by Mel Brooks & Thomas Meehan, starring Roger Bart, Megan Mullally, Sutton Foster, Shuler Hensley and Andrea Martin.

Event schedule:

6:00 PM – Cocktails, Hor d'Oeuvres with Special Guest, Susan Stroman at Angus McIndoe Restaurant, 258 West 44th Street, NYC
8:00 PM - Young Frankenstein Performance Hilton Theatre, 214 West 43rd Street, NYC

All proceeds benefit The Play Company's 2007/08 season.

The Play Company, a New York City not-for-profit theatre, is an international theatre for new writing that develops and produces adventurous new plays from the U.S. and all over the world.  Its work links American theatre with world theatre, American artists with the global community of artists and American audiences with a whole world of plays.  Recent productions include numerous American and New York premieres: The English-language premiere of Yoji Sakate's The Attic directed by Ari Edelson; Romania. KISS ME!, six short plays from Romania's new wave; Roland Schimmelpfennig's Arabian Night directed by Trip Cullman; Leslie Ayvazian's Lovely Day directed by Blair Brown; the Presnyakov Brothers' Terrorism directed by Will Frears (a co-production with The New Group); Vijay Tendulkar's Sakharam Binder directed by Maria Mileaf; Gary Mitchell's Trust directed by Erica Schmidt; Brooke Berman's Smashing directed by Trip Cullman; and Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt's Monsieur Ibrahim and the Flowers of the Koran directed by Maria Mileaf.  The company was launched in 1999 by Kate Loewald, Jack Temchin and Mike Ockrent.
