All new photos have been released from the UK premiere of The Karate Kid - The Musical. The production began performances on Tuesday 28 April at New Wimbledon Theatre and will run through to 9 May, before touring to a further 11 venues where the tour will conclude at Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff on 1 August. Check out the photos below!
The production is written by the original screenwriter of the The Karate Kid film Robert Mark Kamen and has music and lyrics by Drew Gasparini.
Amon Miyamoto directs Gino Ochello as Daniel LaRusso, Adrian Pang as Mr Miyagi, Abigail Amin as Ali Mills, Joe Simmons as Johnny Lawrence, Matt Mills as John Kreese, and Sharon Sexton as Lucille LaRusso.
Bringing the original 1984 film to life on stage, this heart-felt coming of age story tells the tale of the powerful bond between Daniel LaRusso and Mr. Miyagi, who teaches that karate isn’t about fighting, it’s about balance, dignity, and respect.
