The film version of CANNABIS! A VIPER VAUDEVILLE screened at Cinema Village in May, featuring a presentation of the filmed adaptation of the 2022 production that premiered at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club. Check out photos from the event.

The screening included a multi-camera filmed version of the production, followed by a live performance and Q&A with creators Baba Israel and Grace Galu. The event also featured a red carpet prior to the screening.

Originally presented at La MaMa in 2022, CANNABIS! A VIPER VAUDEVILLE combines music, projection design, dance, and theatrical storytelling. The production features environment design by Nic Benacerraf, projection design by David Bengali, costumes by Kate Fry, and choreography by Chanon Judson.

The creative team has announced plans to continue developing the project toward a potential Off-Broadway production in 2027. The executive producer is Jonathan Mann.
