Edward Albee's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Seascape, directed by Mark Lamos, will open on Monday, November 21, at 6:45 at The Booth Theatre, 222 West 45 Street. The production features George Grizzard, Elizabeth Marvel, Frances Sternhagen and Frederick Weller and has sets by Michael Yeargan, costumes by Catherine Zuber, lighting by Peter Kaczorowski and sound by Aural Fixation. This limited engagement is being presented by Lincoln Center Theater on Broadway while The Light In The Piazza continues its run at the Vivian Beaumont Theater.

The show "is the story of the unexpected meeting of two couples -- one long-married and on the threshold of retirement, the other, much younger and still evolving -- on a deserted beach," according to press notes. It premiered on Broadway in 1974 and won the 1975 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, one of three won by the playwright (the other two plays are A Delicate Balance and Three Tall Women).

The performances schedule is Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8pm, with matinees Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm and Sundays at 3pm. (There is no performance on Thanksgiving Day Nov. 24 and an added holiday matinee on Friday, Nov. 25 at 2 PM.) Tickets are available at the Booth Theatre box office or by calling Tele-Charge at (212) 239-6200.
