In celebration of Oscar Sunday, BroadwayWorld.com's Linda Lenzi is inviting readers to step back with her 20 years ago when she and her sister Diane were guests at the 1994 Oscars.
On March 21, 1994, The 66th Academy Awards ceremony at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles honored films released in 1993. The ceremony was hosted by Whoopi Goldberg , produced by Gil Cates, and directed by Jeff Margolis. It was the year of Schindler's List, The Piano, The Remains of the Day, The Fugitive, Philadelphia, Jurrasic Park, Sleepless in Seattle, and many more films that went straight into popular (and sometimes theatrical) culture. Also honored that night was Deborah Kerr and Paul NewmanTake a look back below! Photos by Linda Lenzi, follow her on Twitter @LenziLinda
