As a reprieve from the meticulous & large master work THE VIOLIN REPAIR SHOP that is currently on exhibit at Gallery Henoch, Max Ferguson has completed several wonderful winter scenes. Check out a sneak peek below!

Full of atmosphere, these delightful pieces call forth the nuanced tones that might be found in one of Monet's renderings of "Le Parlement de Londres."

In FIFTH AVENUE SNOW II, Ferguson keeps faithful to his love of Flemish painting. The composition is designed to evoke contemplation through the use of a low perspective, graduated light and in rendering the lone figure in an intimate scale within a larger natural context, a technique often associated with Pieter Jansz. Saenredam (1597-1665).
