Photo Flash: Jose Iturbi Foundation Salutes Sinatra's 100th at the Hollywood Bowl

For two decades, the Jose© Iturbi Foundation (www.joseiturbifoundation.org) has fulfilled his mission by sponsoring blockbuster concerts and international musical competitions, showcasing professional classical music artists in the making.
The extraordinary evening at the Hollywood Bowl sponsored by the Jose© Iturbi Foundation - "Frank Sinatra's 100th Birthday Celebration", featuring an all-star cast of guest artists including Kurt Elling, Jose James, Seu Jorge, Seth MacFarlane, John Pizzarelli, Luciana Souza, Carmen Bradford, Christian McBride, and The Count Basie Orchestra.
It was a magical evening of Frank Sinatra''s hits performed by some amazing singers and musicians. A fitting tribute to 'Old Blue Eyes''," said Cassandra Peterson. Adding, "One of my favorite moments of the evening was seeing a film clip of Frank Sinatra, Gene Kelly and Joseph Iturbi at the Hollywood bowl back when 'Old Blue Eyes'' was probably in his twenties. A great bit of Hollywood history! It was hard to believe that there were so many classic songs made popular by Frank Sinatra - And the musicians and singers doing their renditions of them made for one of the best nights at the Bowl ever!"
Donelle Dadigan, Founder and President of the Hollywood Museum, the Jose© Iturbi Foundation and God Daughter to famed classical music concert pianist and conductor, Jose© Iturbi, who was committed to 'popularizing classical music..."one note at a time," will host the evening and launch the concert from the world famous stage.
"I am a huge fan of both Sinatra and Iturbi. It was the perfect family outing to share with my daughters," said Connie Stevens. While another Hollywood blond, Loni Anderson remarked, "I had to come. I mean, the musical genious of sinatra and Iturbi ... at the Hollywopod bowl? You simply don't want to miss opportunities like this."
Among the guests participating in the celebration of Frank Sinatra 100th at The Hollywood Bowl are Doris Roberts, Loni Anderson, Jack Betts, Cassandra Peterson, George Chakiris, Patricia Ward Kelly, Connie Stevens, Tricia Leigh Fisher, Joely Fisher as well as Councilman Tom LaBonge, George Bronstein, Councilman Mitch O'Farrell and Baydfar Thomasian, who spoke on behalf of Senator Kevin DeLeon, .
"With Donelle Dadigan's fortitude and determination, she has proved her love for both Sinatra and Iturbi, by keeping them alive and in the public eye ... Just great!," remarked Jack Betts
The Foundation will experience one of its biggest outreaches to date ... the sponsorship of the Hollywood Bowl's most exciting and already sold-out concert of the season - "Frank Sinatra's 100th Birthday Celebration," celebrating the incomparable singer and performer, Frank Sinatra - with today's top international talent performing his popular Hollywood Hits - all in an all-star performance extraordinaire!
Sinatra and Iturbi first met in 1945, while filming the MGM classic "Anchors Aweigh;" they remained friends and even occasionally performed together throughout the balance of their lives, until Iturbi's passing in 1980.
"This evening is the very definition of entertainment and Donelle Dadigan does it right," commented Academy Award winner George Chakiris.
In addition to the concert, there will be a VIP pre-concert reception and sit-down dinner catered by Patina at the Bowl's open air restaurant - The Rooftop Grill.
