On Dec 3rd SCOBAR Entertainment,Joseph Macchia and Doreen Montalvo produced a one night benefit concert for Puerto Rico. "This Is What An American Looks Like" A Concert for Hope and Puerto Rico. The Sold out show featured performers from the hit musicals In The Heights, On Your Feet and Hamilton. Drama Desk Award winner and original cast member of In The Heights and On Your Feet Doreen Montalvo hosted the evening.

After Hurricane Maria, Montalvo and Macchia decided they knew they wanted to do something to help the people of Puerto Rico. Many of their friends and cast members had family who were dealing with such great loss. Having produced several other successful benefit concert events together.They decided to reach out to Scott Barbarino at the Iridium Jazz Club to book a date. When Barbarino heard about the event he knew he wanted to be involved as well. The evening raised over $4000.

Performers included Doreen Montalvo, Eddy Hernandez, Danny Bolero, Tanairi Vasquez, Henry Gainza, Alexia Sky Colon, Emmanuel Lopez, Tony Chiroldes, Genny Lis Padilla, Isabel Santiago, Ariel Jacobs, Linedy Genao, and Madison Lagares.
