During the entire month of October, performing arts organizations from across the five boroughs will be offering free tickets as a way of introducing new audiences to New York City's diverse Off Broadway, Independent Theater, Music and Dance communities.
Free Night of Theater is an annual program of Theatre Communications Group (TCG), in partnership with the Alliance of Resident Theatres/New York (A.R.T./New York); the Arts & Business Council (ABC); and the League of Independent Theatres (LIT), New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) and Theatre Development Fund (TDF).Free Night of Theater is made possible, through the support of the City of New York Department of Cultural Affairs, and Council of the City of New York, and Theatre Development Fund (TDF).Artists Daphne Rubin-Vega (two-time Tony nominee; Theater World and Blockbuster award winner) and Cynthia Harris (Mad About You, Founding Member of TACT) were present for the September 27 announcement; check out photos below!
