On May 4, the 2016 Tony nominees flocked to the Paramount Hotel, where they met with the press for the first time since getting the big news. Brooks is best known for her role as "Tasha 'Taystee' Jefferson" in the Netflix Emmy-nominated series, Orange is the New Black.Brooks and the cast received a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2014 for "Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series" and Danielle was the recipient of the Young Hollywood Award for "Breakthrough Actress." The fourth season will premiere in Summer 2016.
The American Theatre Wing's 70th Annual Tony Awards, hosted by Tony Award winner James Corden, will air on the CBS Television Network on Sunday, June 12, 2016 (8:00-11:00 PM, ET/delayed PT) live from the Beacon Theatre in New York City.
