The New Season, a series of concerts at Birdland featuring top Broadway performers and composers, continued on Monday, April 25th with Laurence O'Keefe the award-winning composer/lyricist of Bat Boy: The Musical and the upcoming Legally Blonde.

The show featured O'Keefe's smart, savvy and often hilarious songs sung by a cast which included Jill Abramovitz (Suddenly Hope), Kerry Butler (Little Shop of Horrors, Hairspray, Bat Boy), Joe Cassidy (Les Miserables), Julie Garnye (Hair concert), Deven May (Bat Boy, NYC and UK), Kevin Pariseau (I Love You, You're Perfect…), Mo Rocca ("The Daily Show"), Sara Chase (Unauthorized Biography of Samantha Brown), and Emma Williams (Bat Boy UK and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang UK).

Performances will include "Mine All Mine," a new song written for the UK production of Bat Boy: The Musical, "Sensitive Song" from Cops: The Musical, songs from Sarah, Plain and Tall and Cam Jansen along with premiere performances of songs from Legally Blonde.
