FINIAN'S RAINBOW star Kate Baldwin celebrated the release of her debut album "Let's See What Happens" on October 19th at Bobby Flay's Bar Americain on 152 West 52nd Street.
Today, Oct. 20th, PS Classics releases the debut recording, "Let's See What Happens: Songs of Lane and Harburg," which spotlights the classic songs written by Burton Lane and E.Y. Harburg.
Rob Berman serves as the album's music director; the orchestrations are by Jason Robert Brown, Sam Davis, Joel Fram, Steve Marzullo, Joshua Rosenblum, Georgia Stitt, Joseph Thalken and Jonathan Tunick. "Let's See What Happens" also features a special appearance by Jonathan Tunick and His Broadway Moonlighters.
Kate Baldwin was most recently seen in Stephen Sondheim's Opening Doors at Zankel Hall. On Broadway Baldwin was featured in The Full Monty, and Thoroughly Modern Millie.
With a sparkling score and a whimsical story that dances between romance, satire and fairy tale, FINIAN'S RAINBOW is a musical theater treasure. Broadway performances at the ST. James Theatre began October 8, 2009. FINIAN'S RAINBOW plays the ST. James Theatre, 246 West 44 Street. The preview performance schedule (through Sunday, November 1) is Monday through Saturday at 8pm with a matinee on Saturday at 2pm. There will be special added matinees on Wednesday, October 28 at 2pm and Sunday, November 1 at 3pm. The regular performance schedule, beginning Monday, November 2, is Tuesday through Thursday at 7pm; Friday and Saturday at 8pm; with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm, and Sunday at 3pm. Tickets are $35 - $75 in previews and $50 - $120 post opening. There are also special post-opening Wednesday evening prices as low as $25.00.
