BroadwayWorld stopped by the rehearsals for the upcoming HAIR benefit concert for the Actors' Fund of America. While there, we had the chance to ask some of the stars about the show and what it means to them. Have a look and then get your tickets for the September 20th event!

"Hair is about community. It reflects a time when Americans felt they could truly change their country. Hair is a musical that chronicles the great liberation of youth and the agonizing pain of America at war. Hair is one of the last musicals that you can still hear the songs on the radio"
- Raul Esparza

"Hair was my first favorite musical. I listened to the album so much my parents had to take it away! When I heard that the Actors Fund was planning a concert I was extremely excited and wanted to be a part of it."
- Ana Gasteyer

"Hair is a groundbreaking musical and is the forerunner of today's rock musicals such as Rent. I performed in the 20th. Anniversary production of Hair in Chicago and my mother was in the 1971 Chicago production with Andre De Shields"
- Darius de Haas

"Hair is about art, beauty, freedom, and truth! Which seems today to all be under attack. To quote from the show "You should do want you want to do and be what you want to be, that's what life is about."
- Rupaul
