A memorial tribute for Betty Comden, "Great Women Salute A Great Woman: Betty Comden - in the words of Comden and Green," was held Tuesday September 18 at 2PM, at Broadway's Majestic Theater (247 West 44 Street).
The one hour memorial tribute was free and open to the public. Directed by David Zippel and Lee Mindel, "Great Women Salute A Great Woman: Betty Comden - in the words of Comden and Green" had Musical Direction by Paul Trueblood and was produced by Lee Mindel, Craig Urquhart and David Zippel.
Betty Comden died November 23, 2006 at the age of 89. Betty Comden, the award-winning lyricist and librettist who, with writing partner Adolph Green, created such iconic New York musicals as Bells Are Ringing, Wonderful Town and On the Town.
