Tickets went on sale today, Monday, January 22 for the second annual event "Broadway Backwards 2."

Last year's sold out, gender-bending concert returns with a diverse cast of male singers performing songs traditionally performed by female singers, and vice versa.  This year's event will feature performances from stars Rosie O'Donnell ("The View," Fiddler on the Roof), Tony winner Betty Buckley (Cats, Sunset Boulevard), Constantine Maroulis (Jacques Brel..., "American Idol"), Tony nominee Liz Callaway (Baby, Miss Saigon ), Tony-winner Len Cariou (Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music)and Tony nominee and downtown theater legend Charles Busch (Tale of the Allergist's Wife, Vampire Lesbians of Sodom), taking place Monday, February 26 at 37 Arts (450 West 37th Street).

The concert, directed by Robert Bartley with musical direction by Seth Rudetsky, benefits New York's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center.

Additional performers will be announced in the coming weeks and will be available online at www.gaycenter.org/events/bwayback2.

"At the June 2006 inaugural concert, the theatre community kicked-off Pride month with this one-night-only, star-studded and sold out Broadway benefit concert. The evening featured classic show tunes with a twist, including Andrea Burns' tender rendition of 'Maria' from West Side Story and Tony-nominee Michael McElroy singing 'One Night Only' from Dreamgirls," state press notes.

Established in 1983, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, located at 208 West 13th Street in New York City, is the largest LGBT community center on the East Coast. More than 6,000 people visit the Center weekly and 300 groups meet there.

For tickets, call TicketMaster at (212) 307-4100 or go online to www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets are $35-$250.  A limited number of tickets at $1,500 and $5,000 include an invitation to the after party and photos taken with the performers.  Visit www.gaycenter.org for more information.
