New York Philharmonic Open Rehearsal For 2/9 CANCELLED

The New York Philharmonic's Open Rehearsal scheduled to take place Thursday, February 9, 2017, at 9:45 a.m. is cancelled due to a predicted winter storm that has caused a change in the rehearsal schedule. The concert taking place that evening at 7:30 p.m. at David Geffen Hall will go on as scheduled. Refunds for the Open Rehearsal will be issued to the original method of payment within seven business days. The concert concludes Beloved Friend - Tchaikovsky and His World: A Philharmonic Festival, with Semyon Bychkov, and will include Taneyev's Oresteia Overture as well as Tchaikovsky's Francesca da Rimini and Symphony No. 6, Pathétique. Additional performances take place on Friday, February 10 at 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 11 at 8:00 p.m. at David Geffen Hall.

The New York Philharmonic's next Open Rehearsal will take place Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at 9:45 a.m., featuring Manfred Honeck conducting the New York Philharmonic in Mahler's Symphony No. 1 and Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1, with Artist-in-Association Inon Barnatan as soloist in his final Philharmonic appearance in that role.
