KEYS is a fresh, absurdist, and darkly comic new play making its New York premiere August 9 at the Broadway Bound Theatre Festival.

Written by award-winning actor and playwright Mark Adrian Ford, this is a play about perseverance. Set in a dystopian realm, a spirited woman named Heroina must search through the seemingly innumerable Mountain of Keys. She is given the right to search until she dies. If she can find the correct key (while fending off unexpected sabotage from con artists, guards, peers and High Judges) it will open the Great Door to Paradise, improving her life forever. So she's been told.

"This is a story about a feisty, middle-aged woman who is dead set on creating a better life for herself," says director Alison Preece. "It's unique, inspiring, and devastatingly funny."

Performances are August 9th (12:30 pm); August 12th (10:30 pm); and August 15th (7:30 pm) at 14th Street Y Theatre, 344 E. 14th Street, New York, NY 10003.
