Megan Fairchild Returns For ON THE TOWN's Sunday Night Finale, Misty Copeland Performs Matinee
Original cast member Megan Fairchild will return to the acclaimed Broadway revival of On The Town for one final turn as Ivy Smith, Miss Turnstiles, at the production's closing performance on Sunday night. Fairchild received a Theater World Award for her enchanting performance.
The highly-praised Misty Copeland will end her 12-performance engagement in the role at Sunday's matinee.
Both Fairchild and Copeland made their Broadway debuts with this production, the former being a New York City Ballet principal and the latter a principal for American Ballet Theatre. When adding the performances by Georgina Pazcoguin (New York City Ballet soloist) and Tiler Peck (New York City Ballet principal) that makes four accomplished ballerinas who have played Ivy during the production's run. Let's have a look at all four in action.
Gina Pazcoguin learns "The Music And The Mirror" from none other than Donna McKechnie.
Tiler Peck dances "Fascinating Rhythm" for honoree Patricia McBride at the 37th Kennedy Center Honors awards ceremony.
