Mean Girls to Open at Albuquerque Little Theatre
The production features 30 local actors in Tina Fey's stage adaptation of her hit film.
Albuquerque Little Theatre will open Tina Fey's stage adaptation of MEAN GIRLS, running August 28 – September 13, according to the venue.
Fey, best known for SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE and 30 ROCK, turned the absurdity of high school into one of the most iconic comedies of the 2000s before adapting MEAN GIRLS for Broadway.
When Cady Heron moves from Africa to suburban Illinois, she has no idea how to survive her strange new habitat: an American high school. She quickly catches the attention of Regina George and the Plastics, but getting pulled into their world comes with consequences. What begins as a plan to take Regina down turns into a hilarious lesson in what happens when you lose yourself trying to fit in.
With Tina Fey's unmistakable humor, and everything audiences loved about the smash-hit movie, MEAN GIRLS is even bigger onstage. The production features a cast of 30 local actors.
