Ringo Starr's All Starr Band performed at New York's Radio City Music Hall on July 7 on the occasion of Starr's seventieth birthday, contactmusic.com reports.  Starr closed the concert with a singalong performance of 'With a Little Help From My Friends,' for which he was joined by former Beatles bandmate Paul McCartney.

McCartney's appearance was previously unannounced.  In addition to McCartney, Yoko Ono, Steve Van Zandt, Jeff Lynne, Nils Lofgre, Starr's brother-in-law Joe Walsh, and Starr's son Zak Starkey joined in the number, Contact Music reports.

Ringo Starr's 11th All Starr Tour line up includes: Edgar Winter ("Frankenstein"), Gary Wright ("Dream Weaver"), Rick Derringer ("Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo"), Richard Page (Mr. Mister) and Wally Palmar (The Romantics), and the return of Gregg Bissonette on drums.

Ringo's new album, the acclaimed Y Not, is in stores now. For the first time ever, Starr produces himself on his most personal album yet and is joined on Y Not by Paul McCartney, with whom Starr sings on the first single, "Walk With You," a moving new song about the power of friendship.  For more information, visit www.ringostarr.com.
