The jokes are at their pinnacle at Playhouse on Park with this season's last Comedy Night at the Playhouse on Saturday, May 3rd at 8:00 PM. This evening of stand-up will feature Marion Grodin as the headliner, with Danny Cohen as the opening act.

After working as a staff writer for two sitcoms and writing several screenplays, Ms. Grodin decided it was time to put down the pen and take up the sword, or in this case, the stand-up microphone. For the past decade, she has been a regular headliner at Standup NY and Gotham Comedy Club, and has shared the stage with Lewis Black, Jerry Seinfeld and Robin Williams. Marion has also made TV appearances on The View and Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and has hosted her own CBS radio show. With the ability to improvise and make everything funny, Ms. Grodin puts on a show that is affectionate and personal, yet edgy and hilarious. A New York based comedian, Mr. Cohen has appeared on Comedy Central and is the creator of FastFilms, which produces short comedy videos on Facebook.

This is a BYOB event. Tickets are priced at $15, all seats reserved. For more information, go to the Playhouse on Park website (www.playhouseonpark.org), call by phone (860-523-5900 x10), or stop by the box office (244 Park Road, West Hartford, CT).
