Manhattan Theatre Club's critically acclaimed production of David Harrower's Olivier Award-winning Blackbird will begin its final week of performances Tuesday, June 5 at New York City Center – Stage I (131 West 55th Street).  The sold out limited engagement will end on Sunday, June 10.  The production will have played 29 previews and 68 regular performances.

Two-time Tony Award-winner Joe Mantello (Love! Valour! Compassion!) directs this American premiere production which stars Jeff Daniels (Golden Globe Award-nominee for The Squid and The Whale) and Alison Pill (Tony Award nominee for The Lieutenant of Inishmore).

"One of the most talked-about plays to come out of London in years, David Harrower's Blackbird has been featured on many London critics' top 10 lists and recently received the 2007 Olivier Award for Best New Play. Blackbird comes to life at MTC in a thrilling new American production. This powerful, volatile piece begins when Una shows up unexpectedly at the office of Ray, forcing Ray to come to terms with the effects of their relationship. Una pulls him into an encounter that is gripping, surprising and utterly unforgettable," state press notes.

The creative team includes: Scott Pask (Set Design), Laura Bauer (Costume Design), Paul Gallo (Lighting Design), and Darron L West (Sound Design).
