MIGHTY REAL: A FABULOUS SYLVESTER MUSICAL, the musical celebration of the life and music of Sylvester (born Sylvester James, Jr.; September 6, 1947 - December 16, 1988), the original 1970s "Queen of Disco," continues to keep the musical icon's legacy alive as it tours the country following its Off-Broadway premiere last September.

Anthony Wayne and Kendrell Bowman, creators and producers of MIGHTY REAL: A FABULOUS SYLVESTER MUSICAL, along with acclaimed stage and screen actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, who serves as the show's co-producer with her DIVA Foundation, are thrilled that Sylvester's classic "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" will be featured on the Season 2 premiere of Fox's EMPIRE, airing Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 at 9pm EST.

Daniels attended MIGHTY REAL: A FABULOUS SYLVESTER MUSICAL during its Off-Broadway run last September at The Theatre at St. Clements with "Empire" star Naomi Campbell.

"It was thrilling for us to meet Lee and Naomi at the show last September. Their enthusiasm and support of the show was beyond words. Lee told us he was so touched by Sylvester's story and we are so excited that he'll be featuring the classic "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" on Empire, as we strive to keep the legacy of this great artist -- and pioneer in the LGBTQ community -- alive. Disco Heat is spreading!," said MIGHTY REAL star, Anthony Wayne.

MIGHTY REAL is currently on tour with the next scheduled stop being a return engagement at The Brava Theater in San Francisco beginning February 17th, 2016.

Produced by AnthonyKen LLC and Sheryl Lee Ralph/The DIVA Foundation, MIGHTY REAL: A FABULOUS SYLVESTER MUSICAL is written by and stars Anthony Wayne (Pippin, Anything Goes, Priscilla Queen of the Desert) and is co-directed by Mr. Wayne and Kendrell Bowman, who also serves as the show's costume designer. Wayne and Bowman were inspired to create the musical after seeing the "Unsung" documentary about the artist on TV One in 2010. Moved by his story - by Sylvester's bravery to openly be who he was in an era in which that was not supported or encouraged by society - Mr. Wayne sought out his music. Hooked, he discussed Sylvester's music and influence with Mr. Bowman and they both put their talents together with determination to bring the icon's story to the stage.

MIGHTY REAL: A FABULOUS SYLVESTER MUSICAL (formerly known as Fabulous, One More Time) began a series of concerts at le poisson rouge in New York City in 2012. These early concerts were followed by sold-out performances at The Howard Theatre in Washington, D.C. in January 2013, and additional concerts in Miami soon followed. MIGHTY REAL: A FABULOUS SYLVESTER MUSICAL made its Off-Broadway premiere in an acclaimed one-month limited engagement at Theatre at St. Clement's (423 W. 46th Street) in September 2014. MIGHTY REAL returned to NYC for a sold-out one-night-only event at The Gramercy Theater in January 2015, before heading west to the Brava Theater Center in San Francisco for a limited engagement (February 11 - March 1, 2015). Next, the show played the Painted Bride Art Center in Philadelphia (April 2015), and then performed a special performance for Black Pride at The Howard Theatre in Washington, D.C. (May 2015). The show returned to NYC once again for another sold-out one-night-only performance at The Gramercy Theater in July 2015, before performing in Atlanta at The Variety Theater in September 2015.

MIGHTY REAL: A FABULOUS SYLVESTER MUSICAL was nominated for a 2015 Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best New Musical. Mr. Wayne was also featured as one of Out Magazine's "Out 100" for 2014. Wayne and Bowman were also recently interviewed for "Unsung," becoming part of an updated edit of the documentary that inspired the musical, "Unsung Revisited," which began airing on TV One in July 2015.
