Lynch Reveals: Katie Couric to Perform 'Tea For Two' with Morrison on GLEE Post Superbowl

As BroadwayWorld has previously reported, Katie Couric will make an appearance on GLEE on the post-Superbowl episode, airing February 6, 2011. Deadline reports that 'Couric would play herself in a scene with Emmy winner Jane Lynch."

Jane Lynch recently caught up with Access Hollywood at the Trevor LIVE benefit for the Trevor Project in LA and revealed that Couric will be dancing with Matthew Morrison and performing Tea For Two from No, No Nanette.  She explains: "I haven't shot with her yet, but yeah, she's going to be in our Super Bowl episode...She's also doing a dance with [Matthew Morrison]. She'll be doing ‘Tea for Two."

As previously reported by Broadwayworld, FOX's hit show GLEE will tackle Michael Jackson's classic 'Thriller' for its much talked about Superbowl episode. Like so many others, the song will get the GLEE treatment and will be performed as a mash-up, however the second song has not yet been picked.  The episode is also set to feature music by the Black Eyed Peas, Lady Antebellum, and Katy Perry.

According to Oh No They Didin't, "The post-Superbowl episode will instead keep with the evening's sports theme and focus on the local football championship and Sue Sylvester's cheerleading regionals (the "Thriller" mash-up will be played during halftime of the onscreen pigskin game). Basically, it will be a classic episode of Glee, but just bigger and better."
