Luna Stage Opens A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN, 4/6
Luna Stage closes its 20th anniversary season with a revival of Eugene O'Neill's A Moon for the Misbegotten.
The production directed by Nancy Robillard runs Saturday, April 6 through Sunday, May 5. Performances are Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm. There will be a talkback with the show's creators, following the 3pm matinee performance on Sunday April 14. Tickets range from $25 to $35. Student tickets $10. Group discounts available. A Moon For The Misbegotten tells the story of Josie, a domineering Irish woman with a sharp tongue and a ruined reputation; her conniving tenant farming father Paul Hogan; and James Tyrone Jr, Hogan's landlord and drinking companion. Josie is the foundation that holds her family's farm together. When the fate of The Farm is at risk Josie and her father concoct a plan to trap Tyrone into assuring their future on the property. But Josie's feelings for Tyrone rise to the surface, and perhaps the feeling is mutual. A Moon for the Misbegotten is a classic story of love, desire, and betrayal written by one of our greatest American Playwrights.
