On June 18, 2012 at 6:00 p.m., Award-winning actresses Linda Lavin and Nilaja Sun will join The Fortune Society as it celebrates the 10th anniversary of "The Castle"– a West Harlem supportive housing program that, over the last decade, has provided critical services and support to more than 1,000 formerly homeless men and women who served time in prison. Also attending the event will be former Governor of New Jersey James McGreevey.

Lavin, Sun and more than 100 Fortune supporters will be on hand as successful Castle graduates recount their personal stories of how The Castle and The Fortune Society saved their lives. Also in the house will be former Fortune clients and Castle residents who starred in a highly-regarded Off-Broadway drama, called "The Castle," which tells of their journeys from prison to becoming responsible tax-paying citizens.

Fortune's founder – former Broadway press agent and producer David Rothenberg – will deliver opening remarks and set the stage for the evening's program. In 1967, Rothenberg produced "Fortune and Men's Eyes," an Off-Broadway drama that explored the harrowing real-life story of one man's experience in prison. That production led to the creation of The Fortune Society which, 45 years later, serves more than 3,000 men and women every year.

The anniversary celebration will be held at The Castle, located at 630 Riverside Drive (W. 140th Street and Riverside Drive) in West Harlem.
